Frequently Asked Questions about the 2013 RIYLL Regional Girls Competitive Lacrosse Division

Q: My daughter attended one or more of the regional tryout events, when will we be informed about the team selections?

A: The third and final regional tryout event will be held on Tuesday, February 12th. Players will be notified of their selection status by Wednesday, February 20th.

Q: If my daughter is selected, how do I register for the competitive program and what is the cost?

A: If your daughter is selected to a competitive team you will be required to register with Providence Youth Lacrosse for a fee of $165.00. You will also be required to register with RIYLL for an additional fee of $95.00. The total competitive program cost is $260.00. You will be provided with registration links via e-mail.

Q: If my daughter is not selected, how do I register for the recreational program and what is the cost?

A: If your daughter is not selected to a competitive team she may register to play in the recreational league for a fee of $165.00. You will be provided with a registration link via e-mail that will expire on Friday, March 1st.

Q: If my daughter is selected can she play in both the competitive and recreational programs and what is the cost?

A: Yes. If your daughter is selected to a competitive team she is welcome to also play in the recreational program at no additional fee. The cost of playing in both programs is covered in the competitive fees noted above. In the event of a conflicting practice schedule, which we will work to avoid, attendance to competitive practices will take precedence over recreational practices. Saturday game schedules will be designed to allow a girl to play her competitive game in the early morning with a reasonable amount of time to travel to her recreational game later in the morning.
